Over 4 hours, explore the many patterns and creative options available when using weaving techniques in jewellery. The flat-weaving course covers both the standard flat patterns and unique patterns used to join and bend designs, ensuring your designs fall naturally when worn.

This technique is extremely versatile and is not limited to Necklaces and Bracelets. A variety of accessories can be created from dress straps, handbag handles, hair combs, shoe straps, hand phone covers and much more.
This short course is a module of the JDMIS Foundation Certificate in Jewellery Fabrication using Thread and Wire. For information about how this course fits into a complete jewellery education, visit our Continuing Education Roadmap
  • Learn many different styles such as 1x2, 2x3 and 3x4 weaves;
  • Understand how to securly attach to any clasp;
  • Use creative patterns and pattern arrangments to produce designs of varous lengths;
  • Learn the 'endless' style finishing for accessories and handbag handles.

* This program includes all materials needed. Students may make use of classroom equipment during class and practice sessions.
